Harold lost his drivers license because his car, a blue 53 Olds with a supercharger and a LaSalle transmission was fast but not faster than the Atherton cops. So all of us would take turns driving his car on the El Camino from Menlo Park Jiffy Burgers, looking for the 57 Chevys to race. If we drove through Atherton the cops would stop the car on the off chance they could catch Harold driving with no license.
